Hi there! So this is definitely a new experience for me so I thought I would start out with something simpler to talk about. The Author of “The Warrior Bride Blog”, AKA Me.
My name is Abigail Robison. I am twenty-one years of age, though I will be twenty-two at the end of August. I grew up in the small city of Ontario, Ohio. I was raised in a Christian home with two loving parents and three older siblings who were all moved out and living their own lives by the time I was fifteen. They have now all married and started families of their own. I graduated from Ontario High School in 2015. I also received my Certification in Performing Arts from Pioneer Career and Technology Center. Since then, I had gone on to work various jobs. I worked as a nanny, as a photographers assistant, a homeopath’s assistant, in a boutique, and some work-from-home positions as well. And just like a lot of young women, I had my share of relationships too. Luckily, God had bigger and better plans for me.
June 6th, 2016, I went on a picnic date at Carter Park in Bowling Green with a really cute guy I had met in an online dating app. Little did I know that this guy would become my husband fifteen short months later. Ethan and I have now been married for ten incredible months and will be celebrating our first anniversary very shortly. September 24th, 2017 will forever be remembered as that special day when two souls became one. I remember looking down the aisle and forgetting about every single person that was there to witness that day. All I saw was Ethan, the tears that were rolling down his cheek as he saw me, and the way that God was moving in our hearts a way we had both never experienced before. Ladies, I think we can all agree that there is something beyond our understanding that The Holy Spirit does in your heart and mind when you are walking down that aisle as two separate people but walk back with the man that you are now inseparable from. And frankly, I love hearing each woman’s experience, feelings, and moments they caught from the day that was special to her and her husband.
So where does this whole blog thing come in to the picture? Well let me tell you!
I honestly had always loved being creative and writing papers in English class. I never saw myself as a blogger when I was sixteen but here I am, now twenty-one, with God pulling on my heart strings telling me to get off of my lazy butt and start writing! I have a passion for women, wives, daughters, mothers, newlyweds and all the in-between that are generally forgotten, lost, under-appreciated, or feel lost in the crowd. I too, have to say to myself “Am I virtually prepared for this? God, are you sure?” But then I think of 1 Corinthians 14:26 NIV, “What then shall I say brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.” That personally strikes me because now I know every single one of us has something to bring to the table, AND it glorifies God! I am beyond excited to see where God takes “The Warrior Bride Blog” to uplift and encourage women of all ages.
In my next blog, “The Vision Behind The Warrior” I will be explaining more of the heart and soul behind “The Warrior Bride Blog”, so stay in tune! Thanks so much!
